My Story

Momoe Toyama is a nature and wildlife photographer based in Alberta, Canada. Originally from Nagano, Japan which is known for towering mountains and dramatic natural scenery, her passion for nature and wildlife has been present since childhood.

Her photography journey began back in 1997 in Toronto, Ontario when she relocated from Japan and learned photography in college, capturing everything from city landscapes and natural world using an old 35mm SLR camera.

She took a hiatus from photography but picked the camera back up in 2021 capturing mainly Ontario's wild birds and natural landscapes using Canon EOS series.

In 2023, she relocated again to Alberta, Canada exploring and documenting the province's diverse wildlife and landscapes.

Her passion for capturing nature's wonders and beauty keeps growing everyday.
